Grr. Work lately.
The whole organization hates Lotus Notes, now routinely referred to as Scrotus Bloats or the Slut of all email applications, because if you touch it enough ... oh nevermind. It is stunningly bad.
In happier news, Dallas got a bath last night, since she smelled like a combo of putrid sewer and mustard field. Now she's slightly less of a stink bomb going off in every room she visits, although she doesn't smelly coconutty fresh, as the bottle advertised.
It always amazes me how dogs can jump gleefully into any river, swamp, puddle or lake, (to say nothing of manure fields), but be miserable in a tub with soapy water. Once she was out, she took her usual revenge- scraping against every piece of furniture that looked like blonde fur would adhere to. I sense vacuuming in my future. . .
I finally made it back on Friendster the other day, having initially got some invite ages and ages ago, but not actually adding that person to my friends network. I went back on the other day, and now have ONE WHOLE FRIEND on there. Mind you, it's an awesome friend who wrote a pretty funny (because it's true!) testimonial. Where else can you go and have people write testimonials to you? AND it didn't start out with That Darn Von... So, if you wanna be part of my friends network, you can add me- vondarnell@ hotmail.com. In this way, I hope to have to invite very few people, but still have a glamorous and large friends network. Yeah g'head, what are you waiting for?

Things are looking up. I went for a swim at lunch with Barry, my emotional muse, and afterwards jumped into the hot-tub slash warm pool with jets. Instead of relaxing, we discussed the arcane and boring work that he apparently does here. Something about validating JABDs (just another buncha disks) against our software. I suppose somebody's gotta do it, but I can't help but be glad it's not me.
AND THEN ... my Dev Lead beamed me PDA Euchre! Wheee!! Now I know what he's been so obsessed with in so many of my project meetings! And more importantly, I have a fun new game to play in other project manager's meetings now. Yes, things are definitely looking up.
How's everybody else?
