Day 1 of Lotus Notes use, and I am in a bad mood! After 8 minutes of use, I was irritated, but 2 hours in, and I'm peeved. Talk about a step back! I never properly appreciated Outlook, apparently. Bah. For some reason, Mozilla Firefox will not open, and I'm left with only IE. WHAT??? The scrolling mouse only works in half the windows... All my recurring meetings have vanished, and it's near impossible to reserve a room on the first try.
The weekend was nice- we went up to the cottage, and the highlight was a 5 hour canoe trip to some falls and back. I think we were somewhere on the Muskosh River, if you care to know. I experienced my first set of rapids via canoe (very small!) in a canoe (yay!!), and saw Naked Guy in other canoe flip over about 3 times trying to navigate a slightly rougher set of rapids later (ha ha...). Now that was an interesting event to watch unfold. You'd think after flipping the first time, and scraping his privates over the rocks, he'd change his strategy slightly, but no... Up and over, boy...
Dallas got her fill of racing around chasing sticks, jumping off the dock, and eating dead stuff, but with only a 2 day weekend, she was a little resistant to getting into the boat to head back home. She had to be coaxed/threatened to get into the boat. She glared at me sullenly, once the stick used to entice her into the boat got tossed over the side only 2 minutes later. Although 10 minutes into the boat ride when she was shivering from the cool air, she was pretty happy to be wrapped up in a jacket and hugged close. So maybe I'll be forgiven the stick thing.
I don't know if it's just the Lotus Notes or what, but boy am I in a sour puss mood. Thankfully, I'm heading for a lunch walk with Barry, so we can tag-team the I-hate-LotusNotes subject for a bit, and then move on.
