mama said knock you out!

A minor triumph this morning- I woke up at 6:30, rather than 5, rather than 3am. My body has enjoyed all this time-zone change, and decided to pick a favourite at some point. It has meant a lot of extra hours for work, which is pretty near around the clock these days.

The other result of my travel was finding the handset of my phone dead when I got back. I had unplugged it, along with everything else. So messages sit blinking at me, and I forget to call from work to pick them up, and sometimes the base works and I'll hear a ring- but the handset never lets me pick up. Each night, the blinking light reminds and accuses me. Something important might be on there... Today I will remember to pick up my messages?

Despite business and general brain challenges, I did get Dallas out for an hour last night for a great romp, wrestle and ball-chase in the park, (startling the other adults, who stayed away from my whooping and dashing), and I did make sure to get to boxing class at lunch. My back and neck have been acting up lately, however the workout helps, though you wouldn't think it would. Tomorrow is a second boxing class, and I've roped someone else from work into coming. The instructor I'm so happy and excited about is a former champ, and his website has a really cool highlights reel on it- www.tonypep.ca Of course, that will be me...

It's Wednesday, and there is no 8am meeting. I am so happy. It was cancelled, so I can leisurely stroll in for 9-ish. An outrageous concept to me a year ago, now it is normal, and my whole schedule has adjusted around waking up really early to get in some email with the French office, scrambling to produce materials, and trying to be awake enough to lead the meetings I have to lead.

This morning I filled the coffee filter with whole beans, and almost hit go before realizing something felt off...

So yes, I realize there's nothing earth-shattering in this post- but I wanted to share the highlights reel with you. And I'm not like some of those OTHER bloggers out there who never refresh their sites. (jen, andrew, angela...). And Kate... well, I've given up completely. You'd think she'd have a list of funny stories to tell a mile long...

Alright- Dallas is hopping, so outside we go!
