and i just had my turrets cleaned

Don't go to the Louvre the first Sunday of the month. You will save 8 euros, but as a penalty, you must deal with the mobs. Despite knowing this, I went and spent about 4 hours in there. My eyes and brain are completely oversaturated with master works from every century and millenia. I walked by Michelangelos finally without whipping my camera around for yet another snapshot. I was like, "yep, there it is, next room, where's the exit..." There is always one more and then one more room you get sucked into, and finally you're dizzy and reeling and just need to stagger out.

I hate to complain... this feels reminiscent of my moaning because in Vancouver, on the pretty street I lived on at first with the crazy land-lady- I had to clear the flower petals off my windshielf. I know, I know- pauvre von.

I had a woman snarling at me on the subway ride home. Her problem seemed to be with me and how I was dressed, which was normally. I won't say more on this topic, except that I did the Canadian version of public snarling and edged away. Coincidentally, she reminded me of a painting I saw and loved today by Géricault called, "Woman with Gambling Mania." You be the judge. Oddly enough, I actually checked in the museum store for a print of this with no luck.

So yes, lots of pictures again today. Just going through and culling them takes loads of time. I will post some more to livespaces just because it's so tremendously easy. I will keep up my tradition though of posting a couple favourites here:

Cupid and Pysche, Antonia Canova
Victory at Samothrace
Milo of Crotona, Puget
Horses of Marley, Coustou
Louvre exterior
Carousel Arch, Egyptian Needle, Arche de Triomphe
