i just woke from a dream where I was talking to the telus folks about switching my phone number. They told me before they could help me, I'd have to pay the $8,300 I'd racked up in long-distance phone calls. . . I said I'd take the payment plan, and then dialed Kate.
I think my sub-conscious is nervous. Think I'd better talk to the Telus folks.
I went dragon-boating the other day, and it was really cool. I think I'll stick with baseball this summer and not add a second organized sport, but it is on the short-list for next year. I miss paddling like your life depends on it, but I do have that kayak. It now lives down at Jericho Beach, secured by a flimsy lock, and just waiting to be sprung from its berth. Vancouverites deny that rain is rain, and that anyone could have evil designs on your property. Even so, my content insurance is 3 times higher than in Ontario. As much as I detest the industry, their cynicism is my cynicism on matters of theft and property destruction.
My plans this weekend are pretty loose. I have a baseball practice Sunday afternoon, but other than that- if I don't add to the list soon, I'll end up doing more much needed apartment stuff, and that is to be avoided at all costs. Although my one pet peeve is how dark this place is at night- I gave away my 2 lamps before I moved, and now I'm in the dark again. It's time for another Value-Village run, but natch, I have no idea where those live. Every errand I do is preceeded with Google mapping and strategizing. And a bike ride is just so much more fun.
and that is all for now- my coffee is empty and my dog is hopping. We're going for a walk in what some would call rain.
