My favourite thing in the last week was a beautiful day and a long bike ride to Elora and back, with a stop at the Elora Mill for refueling. I crashed into heavy sleep last night, still feeling somewhat drained this morning. This may have to do with the very periodic grocery shopping I'm known for. But the beautiful days just keep coming. Hikes are happening every day, with As the Team's Head Brass figuring prominently in today's sappy journey.
I was visiting in Montreal last weekend, hiking up Mont Royal, visiting various parks, letting the dogs romp together, and heading out in the evening for strolls. Montreal is a cool city, I will admit. It may be only one of two major cities I could actually live in, with Vancouver being the other.
I was given a CocoRosie CD, which is another favourite thing this week, and I'm in love with their musicality, if not all their lyrics. There is a time to go beyond rhyming couplets, people.
Job seeking... well, I began, stopped, and have been trying to get moving again for weeks. Tomorrow's a fresh new day. Perhaps there will be job-based motivation in it. It's depressing when the numbers in your bank account only go down... If only someone would pay for procrastinating.
Excuse me, I need to make some tea and amuse myself with some fiction. I also noticed that the plants haven't been watered since August.
