better safe than safari

Since solving the problem of what to bring to the boobie party, and having quite a lovely time, I've been busy with a number of things. Chief among them is being totally frustrated with not being able to get the 83 boobie pictures Karen snapped from her memory card and into my reader. Grr! So close but still so far away. It'll have to wait for USB apparently.

One triumph though- I miraculously managed to get my video from tape to my hard-drive!! I cannot believe I accomplished this feat! I had indecipherable email from Sony, old manuals, missing software issues, and a general lack of techno-savvy. With help from an unlikely source- HP itself- I learned that all I needed was a 4 pin to 6 pin Firewire cable, and follow their online step by step instructions, and I was done in no time. Now I am editing shots of me jumping much less far than it seemed at the time, and pop-a-wheelie-ing for mere fractions of seconds. Oh yes, and dog running amok, in and out of every shot.

I still haven't figured out how to get beyond the installation problems I'm having with my CD/DVD burning software though. *sigh* There's always something more with computers.

Another bike ride today, again with Karen, who is leaving in just 3 short days. I'm gonna miss you, gorgeous.
We were going to ride yesterday, but my back was a mess. Today was better, but I still had to weenie out of this Puslinch trail with lots of hills, putting just too much strain on my low back. We switched to plain road-riding, and got back to her place in time to see a beautiful sunset across a calm lake. What a place they have there.

The dishes are piling up here, while I fool around dog-walking, bike riding and boobie-partying. Oh yes, and also going through every last slide in Steve's West Coast Trail photo album (it is spectacular, and I want to go!), and now listening to his Depeche Mode album. Good stuff.
