Got in the pool for the first time in a really long time. I managed to not embarass myself, initially starting out in the Leisure lane, moving up to Medium, and then noticing that I was outpacing everyone in that lane, and most in the Fast lane. Hey, that's me, look out, I am F--A--S--T! Ok well, I only lasted 25 minutes, and I managed to forget all my toiletries... fortunately for me, I dragged along my friend Julie. Ah, foresight!
So the goal is to be doing the commute to work in the next couple of weeks... An over zealous facilities person at work sent out an email banning bikes in the building the other day, noting, "Bikes in hallways, kitchens, entrance ways, could create a hazard, especially in the event of an emergency. Please use the bicycle racks provided outside." Sure lady, I'll just mention that to the many bike thieves who'll be thrilled with this news...
My beloved has at last discovered the shocking lack of financial responsibility in me. **EXPOSED!** A cute, multi-coloured little folder has been purchased on my behalf, and I've been coached on its use. :) Well, gotta give her credit for trying! Taxes still not filed for the last 2 years, a 4 month old notice to file business taxes on an old business of mine, and still that parking ticket not paid. (but now in an envelope in a drawer in my workplace desk- it's making progress!).
It's my friend John's birthday today! He's 40!! Wow. Big number. I'm sitting here smug that I won't be there for a while yet, and prepared to enjoy his middle age. This may require a trip to Ottawa this weekend- we'll have to waitn and see, because planning more than one day in advance is not appropriate.
