Rocks, Trains, and Mines

Let's see, what have we been up to in the last several days, here in rainy Squamish?

- biking, and filming (not riding in) Test of Metal,
- hiking, (sometimes confused with the Dallas retirement stroll),
- checking out Squamish Bluffs,
- hanging with Kite-Surfers,
- visiting the West Coast Railway Heritage Park, and
- finally dropping by the Brittania Mining Museum (rip-off!!)

..and of course, beginning to work on our little projects.

We're debating how much longer to stay put before picking up sticks and heading North, but if we get another sunny day or two, I might have to push my luck and get some climbing shoes on. It is excruciating to watch others do what I loved for so many years, and not join in. Just to touch the beautiful rock up here...well, I may have to cave in to it. I think I can at least risk bouldering without incurring serious back re-injury.

Stay tuned...

Fair warning- most pictures are not going to be posted on this site, because Blogger is way too painful at uploading, and it spits and hisses at the Safari browser. Shame, I say.

I started another little blog when I got my new Mac, using iWeb. I created the site in about 10 minutes, it was that easy. It's also dead easy for me to post pictures there, so you can check out Further
Adventures here: http://web.mac.com/toughcamper/

There is a Squamish album set up already, with more to be added.
