I went to the drugstore last night for some Advil, some A-535 (ultra-heat edition), and advice on how to stop my overused muscles from freaking out on me. I've been sitting with icepacks under my armpits, under my back, against my triceps, and I even resorted to a hot epsom salt bath and drank buckets of water.
After the bath, I generously applied my A-535 Ultra Heat stuff to everywhere that hurt. Result? Scorched skin. As the first burning started, I told myself to just suck it up, and that it would die down. No... it just got more intense. I finally had to get it all off me, and there I stood, with bright red rashes up and down my abdomen, under my armpits, and up my back. It took some time before I could pull a shirt on.

This morning, I got up and did a coffee-run, dog-walk combo. Now I'm fuelling up on breakfast and Advil, so I can head to my drill-sargeant at the gym, and pretend my muscles don't hurt so he lets me return to boxing training.
If this seems slightly misguided, all I can say is that punching is really really really fun. If getting punched is the ticket for you- come claim your free prize.
