It's spring-time, and that does funny things to people. Yesterday after work, I stopped in to see these model homes in this neighbourhood I drive by every evening. I thought these homes might be in the $200k range, but was I wrong! I saw one 2200 sq.' house for $375,000 (lot extra!), which was absolutely stunning inside. Despite myself, I was in awe. They had a baby grand piano in the front living room, glorious wall-units and bookshelves everywhere, amazing draperies and colours through-out, and in some places, leather thatched wallpaper. I thought I had seen everything, until I went downstairs to see the movie theatre and shades of Bourgandy, a gorgeous wine cellar and bar. Of course, if you wanted the finished basement and amazing decations, the price went to $600,000... whew!
From now on, I will be even more upset when I drive through suburbia.
iPod, iPod, I-needan-IPod... I am the worst CD abuser ever. I just stick 'em all stacked up into a shelf in the Element, and they bang around in there as I stop, start, and take corners, getting as scratched up as they please. Stupid technology... Never liked it. But now... The iPod is even cooler- you can get the iPod photo, which gives you 30-60 gig of space for music, photos, files and games, and you can get all kinds of crazy attachments for the thing. I've been holding out, but I'm tempted. I promised myself if I actually got the 'big bonus' this spring that they've been promising us for some time, I'd finally go get one. My finger hovers ominisously over the [Order Now!] button on the Apple site... (like the assonance there?)
But I'm still feeling a little jaded lately about electronics, so... the jury remains out. Note the continued lack of photos from my camcorder? Some nonsense about firewire, and new cards, and blah blah blah. Just make it work, will ya? And no, I don't wanna RTFM!
