the good times are killing me

The moths beat themselves to death against the lights. Adding their breeze to the summer nights. Outside, water like air was great. I didn't know what I had that day. Walk a little farther to another plan. You said that you did, but you didn't understand.

Ok, ok, OK. I know I have written squat lately, but things have been stressy and rough, so you'll have to cut me some slack.

I did something healthy the other day, and then I followed that up with other healthy choices that didn't make me feel heathly or good at all. Things like taking off abruptly to London to see my family, and hanging with Heidi and Ron, playing basketball-wrestling (you know!) until my neck and back were all kinky and stiff. I laughed so much with them that my cheeks hurt. It seemed impossible, but it was true. Then, while the rest of London headed for Dundas street and the Santa Claus parade, I headed to Club 181 on King for a couple of beers, and some trying-not-to-look-out-of-place-posturing at 6 in the evening while children screamed for Santa two blocks away and gay men were sizing me up at the bar. Reminds me of Big-Gay-Jim in Palm Springs, but without the overbearing and amusing butches. Nevermind that right now.

Then I came back and found http://www.prillalar.com/drabbles/ which is pretty amusing if you make the protagonist your pet, and tag yourself as the love interest... Which brings me to 8:11 in the PM on a Saturday night, and wondering how to stick it out here 'til tomorrow.

You know that little toy that cats play with, where there's this little circular ring a ball rolls around and around on this track while a spring on a centre plate holds a polyester cotton ball that a cat stalks and whacks to acheive full sensory overload to help avoid focussing on the fact that her name is Popcorn, has been since birth, and she lives with these hapless humans who don't interact with her on her level? Yeah. Anyone have one of those?

and for tomorrow- hair of the dog.
