Fat Tires

The great happiness at driving my new Element in to work every day, complete with mountain bike in the back, is marred by the teeniest bit of frustration. Sure I get to drive around and be capable of going mountain biking anytime, but... where are my buds?? Better get my own map of the Hydrocut, or start going during work! Lunch-time tomorrow may be a possibility, if I can reschedule my standing lunch date with Julie and remember shower supplies... I need to shed some of my winter pounds... went for coffee this morning with Andrew, and we debated whose breasts had grown more over the winter. : ( Sad day!

There's talk of some downhill biking this weekend, although I'll just settle for a nice long ride of any sort. But a bit of downhill would be a great kick-start to the season. It remains to be see if Linda will join in. I have to say I'd be super impressed if she was willing to descend headlong down a mountain beside me. I've got to hand it to Margaret, John and Robin, who have each conquered better sense to go with me. Margaret especially, since her rare and unpronounceable condition promise a good shot at death should she find herself bleeding somewhere remote from quick medical assistance! John because he didn't know what he was in for, and Robin because... oh hell- Robin braved a road-trip with me and then followed up by going on a free-ride clinic at the Moab Adventure Park with Aaron Chase (!!!) and others at last year's Moab Fat Tire Festival. AND he did great!!

Whoops, and there's the lunch bell...
